March 2008

From March 27th-30th, I'm off to Salt Lake City for the 2008 World Horror Convention! I’m luck and honored to be selected to appear on 4 panels this year:

  • Screenwriting 101
  • The Psychology Behind Dr. Jekyll & Mr. Hyde
  • What Authors are Horror Writers Reading
  • 100 Years of Horror in Film

Like past conventions, I'm looking forward to all the networking and camaraderie amongst my fellow dark fiction writers. I’m also very much looking forward to the purchasing of some great hard-to-find classic horror novels, spending time with old friends from my Los Angeles writers group, and getting to visit another new city.

I'm also set to enjoy a wonderful side trip back in L.A. for a few days prior to the convention. I can't wait to visit "home" and get back to the beach…I feel like an old "Warrior" fighting his way back to Coney Island!

April 2007

Have begun freelance assignments with multi-media start-up company Daystar Studios Entertainment. Initial projects include scripting a story ("Tunnel Vision") for the 1st issue of The Realm, a monthly horror/sci-fi/dark fantasy comic book, and writing Condemned, a horror novella. Stay tuned - more news to come from my new association with Daystar.

Also completing zombie short story "All For One & Dead For All" for submission to the History is Dead anthology (Permuted Press)

World Horror Convention 2007

I'm attending this year's WHC (World Horror Convention) 2007 in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, March 29th through April 1st. I've been invited to take part on a panel called "IN SPACE NOBODY CAN HEAR YOU SCREAM: Horror In Science Fiction", and I've also been invited to take part in the convention's guest mass signing, where I will be signing my second novel, The Blackest Heart.

Given an opportunity to re-submit to the Undead 2: Flesh & Bones anthology, my short story "Losing Streak" was selected for the last spot in the anthology. The Undead: Skin & Bones should be available August 2007.
