May 2008

Word has come down from high that my submission to the Book of Lists: Horror, has been accepted and will be featured in the upcoming book. And street talk is that my list, "Horror Flicks Where the Black Guy Lives!" is actually mentioned in legendary Playboy cartoonist of the macabre Gahan Wilson's introduction. Oh yeah, I’m jazzed. Other featured contributors include talented up & comers Stephen King, Ray Bradbury, & horror filmmaker Eli Roth.

Publication is due on September 16th, 2008. Take a peek at Amazon.

March 2008

From March 27th-30th, I'm off to Salt Lake City for the 2008 World Horror Convention! I’m luck and honored to be selected to appear on 4 panels this year:

  • Screenwriting 101
  • The Psychology Behind Dr. Jekyll & Mr. Hyde
  • What Authors are Horror Writers Reading
  • 100 Years of Horror in Film

Like past conventions, I'm looking forward to all the networking and camaraderie amongst my fellow dark fiction writers. I’m also very much looking forward to the purchasing of some great hard-to-find classic horror novels, spending time with old friends from my Los Angeles writers group, and getting to visit another new city.

I'm also set to enjoy a wonderful side trip back in L.A. for a few days prior to the convention. I can't wait to visit "home" and get back to the beach…I feel like an old "Warrior" fighting his way back to Coney Island!

February 2008

My short story, "By the Light of the Silvery Moon", has been accepted for the Grave Side Tales werewolf anthology THE BEAST WITHIN. The tentative publishing schedule should have THE BEAST WITHIN available by early summer. In the tradition of BLADE, the story revolves around a werewolf superhero fighting his most dangerous foe during his very last full moon.

More details to come when solid dates are announced.

Thanks to my friend Jacob Kier of Permuted Press, publisher of the Undead zombie anthology series, and the leader in small press zombie horror and end of days mayhem, I now have a message board! Check it out via my Contact section or take a peek RIGHT HERE.

I promise a myriad of interesting horror novel & film related topics, so come prepared to throw in your two cents worth and add to the fun horror fan discussions.

August 2007

My short story "Misfortune" aka "Losing Streak," is featured in the new zombie anthology The Undead Volume 2: Skin and Bones. See the short story page for ordering information.

April 2007

Have begun freelance assignments with multi-media start-up company Daystar Studios Entertainment. Initial projects include scripting a story ("Tunnel Vision") for the 1st issue of The Realm, a monthly horror/sci-fi/dark fantasy comic book, and writing Condemned, a horror novella. Stay tuned - more news to come from my new association with Daystar.

Also completing zombie short story "All For One & Dead For All" for submission to the History is Dead anthology (Permuted Press)

World Horror Convention 2007

I'm attending this year's WHC (World Horror Convention) 2007 in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, March 29th through April 1st. I've been invited to take part on a panel called "IN SPACE NOBODY CAN HEAR YOU SCREAM: Horror In Science Fiction", and I've also been invited to take part in the convention's guest mass signing, where I will be signing my second novel, The Blackest Heart.

Given an opportunity to re-submit to the Undead 2: Flesh & Bones anthology, my short story "Losing Streak" was selected for the last spot in the anthology. The Undead: Skin & Bones should be available August 2007.
